I love that I keep finding hidden gems so close to me in Florida 😍 Visitors to the fort can tour bastions, guard rooms, a prison, barracks, hospital, kitchens and even a blacksmith’s shop, all found inside the brickwork walls and furnished as they would have been during the Civil War.

The secret to living a happy life is to think of all of the good things that wouldn’t have happened if that one bad thing didn’t happen.

If you really think about it… there’s no guarantee that if you could go back in time and change one thing from the past that your present would be better. Trust that everything happens for a reason instead of holding onto regret.

If you continue to dwell on the past… you’re not allowing good things to come into your present. It’s like locking the door from a million dollar check. Open that damn door 🚪

The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens left me speechless 😱 I mean.. would you just look at it! 👀😍🍁 Their autumn display transports guests “Deeper Into the Woods.” I felt like I was in a fairytale. The entire room smelt like pumpkin spice 🎃 If you’re in Vegas, this is a must see!! 💯

Things to do on the Vegas strip! 🎲 Bookmark this post! 😉 I always have so much fun walking down the strip and finding new gems:

1. Check out the Flamingo Habitat behind the Flamingo resort 🦩 This is free!

2. Walk the Linq Promenade. Go up in the Linq High Roller ferris wheel for a happy hour or do the Fly linq zip line!

3. Grab a drink inside Caesars Palace at the Vanderpump Cocktail Garden. It’s absolutely GORGEOUS 🌸

4. Watch the Bellagio outdoors fountain show fo freeeee ⛲️ It’s magical.

5. Check out the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens display. Im always blown away by their indoors garden and its also free to see! This fall they have a beautiful setup.

6. Ride the outdoor rollercoaster at New York-New York Hotel & Casino 🎢

7. Grab a drink at the chandelier bar in cosmopolitan, and find the secret pizza spot on the 3rd floor 🍕 The pizza is SO GOOD I promise. And it’s fun to find it 😉

8. Try a salt air magarita at China Poblano, also in the Cosmopolitan. One of the best margaritas I’ve ever had!

9. Ride the gondola inside of the Venetian. It is both indoors & outdoors and very romantic 💕

10. Have lunch at Cabo Wabo Cantina outdoors on the strip. I love this Mexican spot so much and I always stop in for queso and drinks!

It’s officially one year since I moved to Florid

It’s officially one year since I moved to Florida from New Jersey 😱🎉 Some things I’ve learned living in Florida:

1. Fall is never coming & summer felt like hell. Fall in Florida means you can finally leave the house without dying from heat stroke 😂

2. Everyone is moving here & traffic is getting worse.. rent is going up up up ⬆️ My apartment is $400 more a month than what I’m locked into if they wanted to rent to someone else.. so I must stay on my best behavior lol

3. You will ALWAYS find something to do. There is so much to explore here!! It feels like vacation everyday.

4. It rains everyday, but it really doesn’t matter because it comes and goes. You actually pray for rain so it cools TF down.

5. If you want to work in the tourism industry.. the opportunities in Florida are ENDLESS. This move has opened up so many doors working with tourism boards.

6. You are driving distance to Savannah & Charleston living in Jacksonville Florida. Something I didn’t realize until I got here! I’ve gotten to explore so much of the south 😍

7. Jacksonville Airport is ridiculously expensive for someone who loves to travel. Oops. I keep flying out of Orlando because it’s the cheapest airport I’ve ever flown out of. You can go anywhere out of Orlando for dirt cheap.

8. Texas is a quick 2-3 hour flight from Orlando.. i didn’t know but good to know 😂 I’ll have to explore Texas one weekend!

9. I’ve fallen in love with St. Pete, Sarasota, & Tampa. The gulf coast is what’s up! I always thought Fort Lauderdale, Miami, & the Keys were the only places worth visiting in Florida. Wrong.

10. I would move here all over again in a heartbeat. It may not turn into my forever state but I’m happy to be here and explore the south!

1. NYC has the best bagels 🥯 So first stop.. a bagel shop! ‘The Bagel Store in Brooklyn’ 💯

2. Buy tickets for ‘The Edge’ at Hudson Yards for some incredible views

3. Buy tickets for ‘The Museum of Ice Cream’ & take lots of pics 📸

4. Get pizza at Lombardis..Grimaldis.. Joes Pizza.. John’s of Bleecker St., Prince Street Pizza..Juliana’s.. try them all 😂🍕

5. Few options for sunset..either the Empire State Building, a happy hour cruise out of lower manhattan(super fun), or dangle out of a doors-off helicopter over Manhattan with @flynyon. The last would be my pick, the views are unbelievable when you’re flying directly above the city!

The Mote Laboratory & Aquarium in Sarasota is an independent, nonprofit, marine research organization based in Sarasota, Florida filled with manatees, sharks, and sea turtles. I was amazed to learn that Mote researchers have over 13,000 colonies of coral growing in their underwater coral nursery, which is the equivalent to 6 miles of living coral. The scientists at Mote Marine Laboratory have discovered a way to grow threatened Staghorn coral 4 times faster than in the wild which is huge news!

Climate change has been impacting coral reefs and this made me happy to learn that scientists here have worked hard to figure out a way to grow coral reef at a fast rate. If you didn’t already know, coral reefs provide shelter and food to over 25% of all marine species. Coral reefs play an essential role in supporting healthy oceans. Some people fear that as soon as 30 years from now we could lose what’s left of coral reefs in our oceans. The scientists at the Mote Laboratory & Aquarium have a very important job ✌🏼🌊

Had an amazing time visiting the Great Smoky Mount

Had an amazing time visiting the Great Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg for the first time! Bookmark this post for 5 things to check out when visiting Gatlingurg:

1. Grotto Falls- Relatively easy hike that’ll take you underneath a waterfall!

2. Alum Cave Trail- Moderate hike that will take you along a beautiful creek to an awesome cave bluff

3. Roaring Fork Nature Trail- A long driving trail with nature stops along the way! Lots of old historic cabins and beautiful viewpoints

4. Skylift Park- Walk across America’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge. Glass bottom section as well, not recommended if you’re afraid of heights 😅

5. Sugarlands Moonshine Distillery- Be prepared to feel a little tipsy after this, they do a $5 tasting and you’re given 12 shots of moonshine 😳
